McEvoy Ranch sits on 550 acres in the rolling hills west of Petaluma in Marin County, where their certified organic, extra virgin olive oil and other estate-grown products are cultivated. The olives are grown, harvested and milled – and the resulting oil bottled - on the property, ensuring the freshest results possible. The shop at the Marketplace is their only retail space open to the public year-round; visitors will experience the unique beauty and style that are the cornerstones of the Ranch.
The oil, for which proprietor Nan McEvoy was named Food Artisan of the Year by Bon Appétit in 2003, is inspired by those found in the Italian countryside; it is characteristically rich and green, with a bright and slightly peppery flavor. McEvoy blends six Tuscan olive varieties which contribute to the award-winning depth of flavor in the finished oil.
