| Mastrelli’s Delicatessen is an Italian take-out and specialty foods grocery store. Just off the Nave, the small shop has an inviting old world feeling with floor-to-ceiling shelves stocked with imported Italian canned and packaged goods. There is often a lunch-time bustle of people ordering full-on-flavor deli sandwiches—and savoring them at one of the small tables outside the shop. Mastrelli’s is also a friendly place to linger to peruse the selection of imports. Owner Joe Mastrelli comes to the Ferry Building with a background at the venerable Molinari’s Delicatessen on Columbus Avenue in San Francisco’s North Beach—which was founded in 1896. |
