| Prather Ranch Meat Company offers a wide selection of organic, sustainable, humane and pasture-raised meats. They regularly carry beef, buffalo, pork, lamb and vitellone. The beef is certified humane and organic and is raised on the 11,000 acre Prather Ranch situated just north of Mt. Shasta. The ranch is home to a "closed beef herd," meaning that no other kinds of livestock graze on the property and all animals raised there have been bred at the ranch. The Prather Ranch Meat Co. also raises pigs on pasture in Capay Valley, California. The pigs eat a diet that includes organic fruits and vegetables from many nearby farms. The lamb and vitellone are raised 100 percent on grass by small farmers in Oregon and have also been certified humane by the Humane Animal Farm Care organization. Their buffalo is 100% grass-fed and pasture-raised in Oregon on traditional habitat. |
