| This small shop in the central nave, adjacent to the Slanted Door, allows shoppers to sample some of Charles Phan's renowned Vietnamese cuisine in a casual setting at the counter, or take away to one of the prime viewing seats outside along the Bay. The menu lists a few of Slanted Door's celebrated dishes such as fresh Spring Rolls, Grapefruit & Jicama Salad, Daikon Rice Cake. Also, featured are Chef Phan's take on Vietnamese street food - steamed buns, sandwiches, rice plates and soups. Alongside the counter are take home dinners of raw ingredients packed in compostable, compact plastic containers, with measured seasonings and sauces, and a laminated recipe card that are exquisitely easy to prepare. Drinks and sweets include Vietnamese coffee, made thick & sweet with condensed milk, Chrysanthemum Tea, Vietnamese Flan, and Black Rice Pudding. |
